Valeria's Graudation Annoucements

My baby little sister is graduation from high school!!! She is all grown up. These are the graduation annoucements that I made for her using the pictures I took last November. Her favorite one is the last one. I can't decide between the first one and the last one. Let me know which one is your favorite!

Smoothie

It has been pretty muggy and humid here in Rockford, IL. Perfect weather for smoothies! I made one yesterday for a snack for the girls. It turned out great and Jacob even said it reminded him of Jamba Juice (which we don't have here in Rockford). This smoothie is great for me because there are no dairy products used! And this is a great way for the kids to get their serving of fruit. Here is what I put in our smoothie:

We have a magic bullet so we just put it straight into the cup we drink out of... so I don't really have any real measurements.

2-3 big frozen strawberries
1/2 frozen banana
a handful of frozen grapes (I used both red and green grapes)

Put into blender and fill it half way with water and then pour in juice until the fruit is all covered. I used Welch's 100% white grape pomegranate juice. The girls and Jacob totally downed the whole smoothie... at least I was able to get a couple of sips in between their sips. =)

Curly Hair

Jocelyn was very excited that Veronica curled her hair for church today. She said "Baba! My hair is curly, like yours!!!" She loved it and even showed it off to her teachers at nursery. She's a beauty and a cutie!

Car Caddy

This is a car caddy that I made for one of Jocelyn's friend Ben. Ben loves cars and when we babysat him he would always say, "cars, cars, cars." So when we got invited to his birthday party, I thought it would be fun to make him something to put his cars in. I got this idea from this website: http://homemadebyjill.blogspot.com/2009/12/cozy-car-caddy-tutorial.html.

Finished Felt Playhouse

Here is the finished product! I finished it around on Saturday 12:15 AM (the day of the birthday party). It was all worth saying up and finishing the playhouse because Jocelyn was so excited to see it when she woke up! She thanked me and hugged me for making her a house of her own.

The kids can crawl through the doggy door and the bone is removable.

This is the side with the window. You can pick the strawberries and apples. There is also an owl hidding behind the tree knot... I'll have to post a picture of it later.

Felt Playhouse in the Making

Here are the sides of the felt playhouse before I sewed them together. I forgot to take a picture of the other side.
Front door with mail box and flower pot.

This is the window with the strawberry bush and apple tree. The ladybug is removable.

This is the garden with corn, tomatoes, lettuce, and carrots.

Dinner Outside

This was when we had our first dinner outside on our patio. It was a beautiful day in April! The kids loved eating outside on their little table and chairs.
