Natalie's Baby Blessing in Arizona

These are the men who were invited to participate in the baby blessing. (Jacob, Grandpa Steve, Bishop Larsen, and Uncle Tom).
I got to make a baby blessing dress for Natalie. I semi-finished the dress the night before we flew out to California. I finished everything except for the buttons. Grandma was nice enough to help me finish sewing the buttons on the dress on the day of the baby blessing. Thanks Mom!

It was nice to be able to bless Natalie in Arizona with our family there. We blessed her at Grandma's and Grandpa's house on Tuesday, March 24, 2009. The spirit was so strong in the home when we bless Natalie and I am so happy that we waited to bless her there.

This was the yummy chocolate cake that I made for the baby blessing and we also had a pecan pie and a strawberry cream pie that were in the fridge.

This was the beautiful table scape that Grandma Mary did for the baby blessing.

Spring

This is a picture that I took while I was in California... I wish it looked like this here in Urbana, IL. It is still in the 30s and 40s here. When we are lucky it gets in the high 50s. Going to California and Arizona made us want to live there again... but we are hoping some day we will end up where it is sunny and doesn't snow.

My New Hair Cut

I finally got my hair cut when I went to Arizona. Asian salons are just better at cutting my hair. It's fun to get a new hair cut and watch it grow. I didn't chop off my hair this time because I am going to try to grow it out. I think it is less work for me when I have longer hair... and it is easier for me to put it in a pony tail =) not that I always have my hair up in a pony tail.

Painted Toe Nails

I thought it would be fun one day to paint Jocelyn's toes. She actually held pretty still while I painted her toes. First I only painted her big toe and she thought it was so pretty. Then I asked if she wanted her second toe to be painted... and of course she said yes. After I painted her second toe she realized that her other toes should be painted too and asked me to paint the rest of her toes. Jocelyn is so cute and is growing up so fast! I can't believe that she is going to be two next month!

Jocelyn showing off her foot so I can take a picture of it.
